Action: Support Ongoing Investigation on Torture, Harassment, and Ill Treatment Networks

Whatever criticism one levies at the UN, it is the only intergovernmental organization with jurisdiction to investigate and sanction torture, worldwide.

And when it comes to transnational crime syndicates that profit from ill-treatment and harassment of innocent people, that may just tip the balance.

At least one division of the UN and one courageous person there are currently doing important work in the field of harassment and ill treatment:

What’s to be done ?

Retweet the below tweet by UN Torture Rapporteur Nils Melzer, two or three times a day, until it reaches 1,000 Retweets, or more.

This is the tweet link in text form: https://twitter.com/NilsMelzer/status/1232067039910662145

Email your friends and post on Facebook, get people to do the same and show suport for victims. Repeat, every day, until it’s done.

It’s at 500 retweets now, so I feel this is doable by June 26, 2020. That day happens to be International Day in Support of Victims of Torture.

Don’t have twitter ? Create an account, just to do this.

Do it for the victims. Do it for you. Do it because you will not let another day pass, not without doing something.

Cheers
